Set Relative Strength Index, RSI Indicator in Chart in MetaTrader 4

This Tutorial will explain how to place the Relative Strength Index, RSI Indicator on a Chart in the MetaTrader 4 Platform. For technical analysis: Technical analysis of xauusd RSI.

How to Place Indicators in MetaTrader 4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open Navigator window as shown & displayed below - Go to 'View' menu (then click) and then select 'Navigator' panel (click), or From the Standard ToolBar click 'Navigator' button or press short cut keyboard keys 'Ctrl+N'

On Navigator panel, choose 'Technical Indicators', (Double Click)

Step 2: Expand the Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking expand button marker (+) or double click 'indicators' menu, after this the button will then now appear as (-) and will now be shown as a list as displayed below.

From the Above panel you can then place any indicator you want on the chart.

Placing RSI on a Chart

Step 1: Choose the RSI button key on MT4 list of technical indicators as displayed below:

Step 2: Doubleclick the RSI Button, & click okay to place the RSI on chart as shown & displayed below:

Edit Relative Strength Index Indicator Setting

To Adjust Settings, right-click in RSI, select properties settings & then edit properties of the indicator using the popup menu that appears and then click ok butonke

The following pop up window appears & the technical technical indicator parameters can be edited from the pop up panel.
