Place Average Directional Movement Index, ADX Technical Indicator

This Tutorial will explain how to place the Average Directional Movement Index, ADX indicator on the charts on the MetaTrader 4 Software. For Technical analysis: ADX Analysis.

How to Place Indicators in MT4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Window

Open Navigator window as shown and portrayed below - Go to 'View' menu (then click) & then select 'Navigator' panel (press), or From the Standard Tool-Bar click 'Navigator' button or press short-cut key-board keys 'Ctrl+N'

On Navigator panel, select 'Indicators', (DoubleClick)

Step 2: Expand Technical Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the technical indicator menu by clicking expand + button marker (+) or double-click 'indicators' menu, after that, this button will then now appear as (-) & will now show as a listing as shown below.

From the Above panel you can then place any trading indicator that you as a trader want onto the +trading chart.

Setting Average Directional Movement on Chart

Step 1: Select the Average Directional Movement Index button on the MetaTrader 4 list of technical indicators as shown below:

Step 2: Double click the ADX Button, and click ok to place the technical indicator on the chart as shown & displayed below:

Edit ADX Indicator Settings

To Change Settings, right-click in ADX, select properties settings & then edit property settings of the technical indicator using the pop-up menu that appears and then click ok button key after you change settings.

The following pop up window appears & ADX settings can be edited from this pop-up window.
