Place and Add Average Direction Movement Index, ADX Technical Indicator

This Tutorial will describe how to place Average Direction Movement Index, ADX indicator on the charts on the MetaTrader 4 Platform Software. For Technical analysis: ADX Analysis.

How to Place Indicators in MT4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform/Software Navigator Window

Open Navigator window as shown & displayed below - Go to 'View' menu (then click) & then choose 'Navigator' panel (press), or From the Standard Tool-Bar click 'Navigator' button or press short-cut key-board keys 'Ctrl+N'

On Navigator panel, choose 'Indicators', (DoubleClick)

Step 2: Expand Technical Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the indicator menu by clicking the expand (+) button marker (+) or double-click 'indicators' menu, after that, this button then will now be shown as (-) and will now show as a listing like shown below.

From the Above panel you as a gold trader can then place any trading indicator that you as a trader want onto the trading chart.

Setting and Placing Average Directional Movement on Chart

Step 1: Select the Average Directional Movement Index button on the MetaTrader 4 list of technical indicators like is shown below:

Step 2: Double click the ADX Button, and click ok to place the indicator on the chart like shown and displayed below:

Edit ADX Indicator Settings

To Change Settings, right-click in ADX, select properties settings & then edit property settings of the indicator using the popup menu that appears and then click ok button key after you change settings.

The following popup window appears & ADX properties can be changed and edited using this pop-up window.
