MA Envelopes on MT4: Chart Setup
This instructional guide will demonstrate the steps for placing the MA Envelopes Indicator onto an MT4 chart. This is intended for Technical Analysis: specifically, the analysis of Moving Average Envelopes.
How to Place Indicators on MT4 XAU/USD Charts
Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Panel
Open the Navigator window using the steps below. Go to the "View" menu and click on it, then choose the "Navigator" panel and click on that. You could also use the toolbar to click the "Navigator" button, or press "Ctrl+N" on your keyboard.
On the Navigator panel, select 'Indicators', (DoublePress)
Step 2: Open the indicators menu in the Navigator
Expand the menu by clicking the expansion button ('+') or alternatively, by double-clicking the "indicators" menu item: upon this action, the button will transform into a collapse indicator ('-') and subsequently reveal a list, as illustrated below.
From the panel above, you can place any indicator that you wish to use on the trading chart.
Placing MA Envelopes on Chart
Step 1: Select the MA Envelopes button from the MT4 list of technical indicators as illustrated below:
Step 2: Double-click the MA Envelopes button, then hit okay to add the indicator to the chart as shown below.
Edit Indicator Settings
To adjust settings, right-click the Envelopes Indicator. Select properties, edit in the menu, and press okay after updates.
