Place Average True Range in Chart in the MetaTrader 4 Platform
This Lesson will show you how to set the ATR Indicator in a Chart on the MT4 platform. For Analysis: Analysis of Average True Range.
How to Place Indicators on MetaTrader 4 Charts
Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Panel
Open the Navigator window like as displayed and shown below - Go to the "View" menu (then click) & then choose "Navigator" window (press), or From the Standard Tool Bar click the "Navigator" button or press shortcut key board keys "Ctrl+N"
On the Navigator panel, select 'Indicators', (Double-Click)
Step 2: Expand Indicators Menu on the Navigator
Expand the indicator menu by clicking the expand button/tool mark + or double-click "indicators" menu, after that, this button then will now be shown as (-) & will now show as a list like illustrated below.
From the Above window you then can place any indicator that you as a trader want on the trading chart.
Placing ATR on a Chart
Step 1: Choose the Average True Range button on the MT4 list of indicators like is shown below:
Step 2: Double click the Average True Range Button, and click ok to attach the ATR on the chart like illustrated and shown below:
Edit Indicator Settings
To Adjust the Settings, right-click in the ATR, select properties settings and then edit properties of the technical indicator using the popup menu that appears and then click ok button after you change settings.
The following pop up window panel appears and Average True Range properties can be edited using this pop up.
