Place Average True Range Indicator in Chart on MetaTrader 4

How to Place Indicators in MetaTrader 4 Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open the Navigator window as displayed & illustrated below - Go to "View" menu (then click) and then select "Navigator" window (click), or From the Standard Tool Bar click the "Navigator" button or press shortcut keyboard keys "Ctrl+N"

On the Navigator window, select 'Indicators', (Double-Click)

Step 2: Expand the Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the indicator menu by clicking ##1expand button marker (+) or ##1++double-clickdouble--clickdouble--click ##1"indicators" menu, after that, this ##1##button--keybutton will then now appear as (-) ++2and will now show as a list as illustrated below.

From the Above window you then can place any indicator that you want on the chart.

Placing ATR on a Chart

Step 1: Choose the Average True Range button on the MT4 list of indicators as shown below:

Step 2: Double click the Average True Range Button, and click okay to attach the ATR on the chart as illustrated & shown below:

Edit Indicator Settings

To Adjust the Settings, right-click in the ATR, select properties settings and then edit the properties of the indicator using the pop up menu that appears and then click ok button after you change settings.

The following pop up window appears & Average True Range Indicator settings can be edited from this pop up.
