Place Average True Range Indicator in Chart on MetaTrader 4
This Lesson will show you how to place the ATR Indicator on a Chart on the MetaTrader 4 platform. For Analysis: Analysis of Average True Range.
How to Place Indicators in MetaTrader 4 Charts
Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Window
Open the Navigator window as displayed & illustrated below - Go to "View" menu (then click) and then select "Navigator" window (press), or From the Standard Tool Bar click the "Navigator" button or press short-cut key-board keys "Ctrl+N"
On the Navigator window, select 'Indicators', (Double-Click)
Step 2: Expand Technical Indicators Menu on the Navigator
Expand the indicator menu by clicking expand button marker (+) or double-click "indicators" menu, after that, this button will then now appear as (-) and will now show as a list as illustrated below.
From the Above panel you then can place any indicator that you as a trader want on the trading chart.
Placing ATR on a Chart
Step 1: Choose the Average True Range button on the MT4 list of indicators as shown below:
Step 2: Double click the Average True Range Button, and click ok to attach the ATR on the chart as illustrated & shown below:
Edit Indicator Settings
To Adjust the Settings, right-click in the ATR, select properties settings and then edit properties of the indicator using the pop up menu that appears and then click ok button after you change settings.
The following pop up window appears & Average True Range Indicator settings can be edited from this pop up.
