Place Moving Average Indicator in Chart in MetaTrader 4
This Lesson will explain how to place the Moving Average Indicator on a Trading Chart in the MetaTrader 4 Software. For trading analysis: Technical analysis of xauusd MA.
How to Place Indicators in MT4 Gold Charts
Step 1: Open The Platform Software Navigator Window
Open Navigator window as illustrated & shown below - Go to 'View' menu (then click) & then select 'Navigator' panel (click), or From the Standard Tool-Bar click 'Navigator' button or press short-cut key-board keys 'Ctrl+N'
On Navigator panel, select 'Indicators', (Double-Press)
Step 2: Expand the Technical Indicators Menu on the Navigator
Expand menu by clicking expand + button marker (+) or double-click 'indicators' menu, after this the button will then now appear as (-) & will now be shown as a list as displayed below.
From the Above panel you then can place any indicator that you as a trader want onto the +trading chart.
Placing Moving Average on Chart
Step 1: Select the Moving Average button on the MetaTrader 4 list of technical indicators as illustrated below:
Step 2: Double click the Moving Average Button Key, and click ok to place the technical indicator on chart as shown and illustrated below:
Edit Indicator Settings
To Adjust Setting, rightclick in Indicator, select properties settings and then edit properties of the indicator using the pop up menu which appears and then click ok button after you change settings.
The following pop up window appears & Indicator parameters can be edited from the pop-up panel.
