Bulls Power indicator is used to estimate power of the Forex Bulls (Forex Buyers). Bulls Power indicator estimates the balance of power between the forex bulls and forex bears.
Bulls Power indicator aims at identifying if a bullish forex trend will continue or if the forex price has reached a level where it might reverse.
Calculation of Bulls Power Indicator
A Forex Price Candlestick bar has 4 parameters: the Opening Forex Price, Closing Forex Price, High Forex Price and Low Forex Price on the forex price bar.
Each Forex Price bar either closes higher or lower than the previous forex price bar.
The highest forex price will signal the maximum power of the Forex Bulls within a forex price period.
The lowest forex price will signal the maximum power of the Forex Bears within a forex price period.
Bulls Power indicator uses the High of the forex price and a Moving Average (Exponential Moving Average)
The moving average is used to represent the middle ground between forex sellers and forex buyers for a certain forex price period.
Therefore:
Bulls Power = High Price - Exponential Moving Average

A buy signal is generated when the Bulls Power indicator oscillator moves above Zero centerline mark.
In an upward forex trend - the Forex Price HIGH is higher than EMA forex indicator - so the Bulls Power indicator is above zero and the Histogram/Oscillator is located above zero line.

If the Forex Price HIGH falls below the EMA forex indicator then it means that forex prices are starting to fall and the Bulls Power indicator histogram will start to fall below the zero center line.
The Triple Screen method for trading this Bulls Power indicator suggests identifying the forex price trend on a higher forex chart time frame (like daily chart time frame) and applying the Bulls Power indicator signal on a lower forex chart timeframe (like hourly chart time frame). Bulls Power indicator signals are traded according to the Bulls Power indicator - but only in direction of the long term forex trend in the higher forex trading chart timeframe.
