Gann Swing Oscillator indicator is an oscillator indicator and it is used to help define market swings.

Swing up - A swing up is defined by 2 higher highs in price

Swing low - A swing low is defined by 2 lower lows in price.

Gann Swing Oscillator indicator oscillator - oscillates between values of +1 & -1:

  • An up-swing in forex is indicated by a +1 value of the Gann Swing Oscillator indicator while
  • A down-swing in forex is indicated by a -1 value of the Gann Swing Oscillator.

The Gann Swing Oscillator indicator is meant to be used in combination with the Gann HiLo Activator indicator & Gann Trend indicator to form a trading system methodology referred to commonly as the: 'New Gann Swing Chartist Plan'. Within this methodology the Gann Swing Oscillator indicator is used to help determine the market direction for trading only within the current market trend that is shown by Gann Trend indicator.
