The example illustrated and shown below explains how to set a buy stop pending order in MT4 software.

A buy stop pending order is an order to buy xauusd at a price that is above the existing market price.

Open a XAUUSD Chart
Right Click on the Chart to open the Trade 'Order' Window Panel
On the Trade Order Panel, Choose Pending Gold Order as shown below
Choose Pending order Type as Buy Stop Order as Show below
After choosing Buy Stop Order - Click the 'Place' Order and specify the buy stop price level where the trade order will be opened
