Once you've opened a practice account the next step is to open a XAUUSD chart so as to begin trading.

For this example let's begin with a blank screen on the MetaTrader 5 interface.

To open a new chart from the xauusd example displayed below, click "File" tab at the tops left corner as displayed below, then select the option "New Chart".

After clicking "New Chart" a drop-down menu will appear with a list of instruments that as a trader you can select which to open.
