The button key below is used to choose the periodicity or commodities trading chart time frame to trade with. This button can be accessed on the MT4 platform as illustrated below.

How to Know Which Commodities Chart Time Frame You are Using
A common question especially if you are new to commodity trading would be how to identify which commodities trading chart time frame you are using on your MT4 commodities trading platform:

Use the above Menu as Shown above
In the above commodities trading example once you select the periodicity button under the charts menu, then the list of commodities MT4 chart time frames is shown and the commodities chart time frame that is currently selected, one that you're using will be highlighted using a different color, on the above example this is 1 Hour(H1) commodities chart time frame, whose Icon on the left is highlighted in light blue.

This MT4 periodicity toolbar is by default located at the top of the MT4 commodities trading platform and has all commodities chart timeframes marked as illustrated and shown below. The commodities trading chart time frame that a trader is using will be marked differently from the other commodities trading chart time-frames, the selected commodities chart timeframe will be 'indented' as illustrated and shown below:
