Strategy to SX5E Index
SX5E Index is made up of blue chip stocks choosen from best performing sectors in the EuroZone: hence a good stock index trading strategy to trade SX5E Index is to trade long majority of the times. This is because generally the best stocks in Europe will in general keep heading up and up because the companies behind these stocks are some of the best and most profitable corporations in Europe.
SX5E Index is also reviewed yearly so that if one Stock isn't performing well then it is replaced with another Stock that is doing good. This ensures that most of the times SX5E Index will keep going upward.
As a stock index trader you want to be biased & keep on buying as the index heads and moves upwards. When the economies that are based in Europe are performing/doing well this upward trend is more than likely to be the one that is ongoing. A good strategy to use for trading this stock market index would be to keep buying and buy the dips.
During Economic Slow-Down & Recession
During economic slowdown and recession periods, companies begin and start to report slower profits & lowers growth projection. It is due to and because of this reason that investors start to sell stocks of companies that are announcing and reporting lower profits & hence Indices tracking these specified stocks will also start and begin to move downwards.
Therefore, during these times, market trends are much more likely to be moving downward & you as a trader should also adjust your strategy accordingly to suit the prevailing downwards trends of the index which you are trading.
