To setup MT5 platform - download the MT5 exe set-up file, Click install and follow the MT5 installation instructions.

How to Log in to MT5 Platform

To trade with the MT5 Stock Index Platform you'll need to first of all enter stock index account details - the MT5 platform will prompt you to enter you stock index account details and you as a trader can use enter your stock index account login details by clicking the File tab on the MT5 platform at the top left corner of MetaTrader 5 platform, then select the Login to Trade Account option and then enter your stock index account details - stock index demo account details for MT5 stock index demo account & stock index live account details for MT5 real stock index account.

How to Open a Stock Index Instrument on MT5

To open a Stock Index instrument go the MT5 Market Watch Window select the stock index instrument that you want to open and double click on the stock index instrument to open the stock index chart for this stock index instrument.

You can also tap the click to add button at the bottom of the MT5 Market Watch Window to add a stock index instrument that is not listed on the Market Watch Widow.

How to Open a Stock Index Trade on MT5

To open a stock index trade in MetaTrader 5 platform right click within the stock index chart & select the New Order Widow to open a buy or sell stock index trade.

A trader can also open the New Order window on the MT5 platform by clicking the MT5 shortcut key - F9, stock index traders can press F9 to open the New Order window.

From MetaTrader 5 New Order panel a trader can open a buy or a sell stock index trade by clicking the Buy by Market to open a buy stock index trade or clicking the Sell by Market to open a sell stock index trade. From this stock index new order trade window a trader can also specify the stock index lot size that they want to buy or sell.

How to Open a Buy Trade on MT5

To open a buy stock index trade sect the New Order panel on MetaTrader 5 Platform by pressing F9, specify the stock index lot size you want to trade, click the Buy by Market Button to open a buy stock index trade in MetaTrader 5 Platform.

How to Open a Sell Trade on MT5

To open a sell stock index trade sect the New Order panel on MetaTrader 5 Platform by pressing F9, specify the stock index lot size you want to trade, click the Sell by Market Button to open a sell stock index trade in MetaTrader 5 Platform.

Take Profit Level can be set when opening a new stock index trade in MetaTrader 5 platform. On the New Order window provided on the MT5 platform there is a field for Take Profit - this is where a trader will specify the take profit level for their open stock index trade.

Take Profit Level can also be set when modifying an already open stock index trade, to modify and set take profit for an open stock index trade - right click on trade you want to modify on MetaTrader 5 Terminal Window or on the Stock Index trading chart, Choose Modify Order, Select Take Profit & set the Take Profit Level you want for your open stock index trade.

How to Set Stop Loss on MT5

StopLoss Level can be set when opening a new stock index trade in MetaTrader 5 platform. On the New Order window provided on the MT5 platform there is a field for Stop Loss - this is where a trader will specify the stoploss level for their open stock index trade.

How to Place a Stock Index Pending Order on MT5

To place a stock index pending order open the New Order Window on the MT5 platform, then change the stock index order Type from Market Execution to Pending Order.

Stock Index traders can then choose the stock index pending order that they want to set, the pending orders are buy limit, buy stop, sell limit, sell stop.
