How to Add & Modify Stock Index Take Profit Orders on MT4

Stock Index Take Profit orders are stock index orders used to automatically close open stock index trades on the MetaTrader 4 platform. Stock Index Take Profit orders are used by traders to help secure stock index profits & close open stock index trades once these stock index trades moves in the direction of the traders' position by a specified number of stock index pips in stock index profit.

Take Profit orders can be set when opening new stock index trades & Take Profit orders can also be set for already opened stock index trades.

How to Set Stock Indices Take Profit Orders When Opening New Indices Trades

1. Open a Stock Index trading chart for the stock index instrument you want to trade
2. Right Click on the Stock Index Chart
3. Select New Order button
4. Choose the Set Take Profit Option within this New Order stock index trading window
5. Specify your Take Profit level for the stock index trade that you want to open
6. Choose buy or sell to open a stock index trade

For a buy stock index trade the stock index Take Profit order is set above the stock index price quote you want to buy at & for a sell stock index trade the stock index Take Profit order is set below the stock index price quote you want to sell at.

How to Set Stock Indices Take Profit Orders for Open Indices Trades

Select stock index trade you want to modify from MetaTrader 4 stock index trade transactions window

1. Right click on the stock index trade order & choose Modify Order
2. Select Take Profit Field
3. Specify the Take Profit level for the stock index trade
4. Click the Modify Order Button
