RVI forex indicator combines the traditional concepts of forex technical analysis with modern digital forex trading signal processing theories and filters to create a practical and useful forex trading indicator.
The basic principle behind RVI forex indicator is simple -
- Forex prices tend to close higher than they opened in an upward forex trending market and
- Forex prices tend to close lower than they opened in a downward trending market.
The momentum (vigor) of the forex trend move will therefore be established by where the prices end up at the close of the forex price candlestick. The RVI forex indicator draws two lines the RVI Line and the signal Line.
The RVI index is based on measuring of the average difference between the closing forex price and opening forex price - this value is then averaged to the mean daily forex trading range and then used to draw the indicator.
