To draw Candles Charts on the MetaTrader 5 Platform, select the charts drawing tools within the "MT5 ToolBar" - illustrated below and select the candle chart toolbar button:

To view this charts tool-bar in MT5 navigate to 'View' Next to file at top left corner of the MetaTrader 5 Platform, Click 'View', Then Click 'ToolBars', Then check the 'Charts' Button. The above charts tool-bar will appear.

Once above charts toolbar, pops up you can then choose the type of xauusd charts you want to convert to and trade with, If you want to view using bar chart format, click bar charts tool button as illustrated above, for line chart format click line charts button, for Japanese candlesticks charts format click the "candles charts tool button".
