Trading Bitcoin: Placing Buy & Sell Cryptocurrency Orders in MT5 Bitcoin Charts

To commence a buy or sell trade for Bitcoin on the MT5 platform, open the MarketWatch Window, select the Bitcoin currency symbol you intend to trade, and double-click on the btcusd quote to access the relevant chart. From this btcusd chart, you can then perform a buy or sell trade by using the MT5 order window displayed below.

Bitcoin traders pick the new order button as shown above. A trade setup window pops up next. It holds all the options to start a new trade.

Choose Buy to open a Buy Bitcoin Trade

The settings detailed below are required for configuring and submitting a new order for the bitcoin btcusd cryptocurrency:

  1. Symbol - Specify the trading instrument to be traded - bitcoin crypto.
  2. Volume - Number of Lots to be traded
  3. Stop Loss Crypto Order - Set StopLoss Crypto Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending bitcoin crypto orders
  4. Take Profit Order - Place TP BTCUSD Crypto Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending btcusd crypto orders
  5. Type: Market Execution or Pending BTC/USD Crypto Order
  6. Sell by Market - Open Sell BTC USD CryptoCurrency Trade
  7. Buy by Market - Open Buy BTC/USD Crypto Trade

To Buy at ruling bitcoin price select the Buy by Market button

To Sell at ruling btcusd price choose the Sell by Market button
