What is Required Margin? : Required Forex Trading Margin is amount of money your online trading broker requires from you to open a trade transaction position. It is expressed in percent.
What is Forex Equity? : FX Equity is the total amount of capital you've in your trading account.
What is Used Margin? : Used Margin is amount of money in your account that has already been used when buying a forex contract, this forex contract is one that's displayed in open trade positions. You can't use this sum of money after opening a transaction because you've already used it & it's not available to you to open another trade with.
In other words, because your online broker has opened up a forex position for you using trading capital you have borrowed, you must keep this used margin as a security to allow you to continue using leverage the broker has given you.
What is FX Free Margin? : Forex Free Margin is the amount of money in your account that you can use to open new trade positions. Free Margin is the amount of money in your trading account which hasn't yet been leveraged because you have not yet opened a trade transactions with this money - this Forex Free Margin is also very important for you because it enables you as a trader to continue holding your open trade transactions as explained below.

The forex margin examples on MetaTrader 4 below, the set fx leverage ratio is 100:1, the forex margin which is 1 % is $2683.07 - therefore the total amount controlled by trader is: $268,307 - this is because with leverage the trader has used little of their own funds and borrowed the rest from broker, with this forex trading leverage set at 100:1, a trader is using 1 % of their forex trading capital, this 1 % is $2683.07 - if 1 % is $2683.07 then 100 % is $268,307
