How to Place MT5 Indicators in MetaTrader 5 XAUUSD Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open the Navigator window as illustrated and shown below - Go to "View" menu (then click), then select " MT5 Navigator " window (click), or From the Standard Tool Bar click the "MT5 Navigator" button or press short cut keyboard keys "Ctrl+N"

On the MT5 Navigator window, choose "Technical Indicators", (Double Click)

Step 2: Expand MetaTrader 5 Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand MetaTrader 5 gold trading technical indicator pop up menu by clicking the expand button marker (+) or double click the "indicators" menu, after this the MT5 button will appear as (-) and will now display a list as shown below.

From the Above panel you can then add any MT5 indicator that you want on MT5 gold trading chart.

Placing Average Directional Movement on a Gold Trading Chart

Step 1: Select the Average Directional Movement Index button on the MetaTrader 5 list of technical indicators as shown below:

Step 2: Double click the ADX Button Key, & click okay to attach the technical indicator on the chart as illustrated & shown below:

To Adjust the Settings, right-click in the ADX, select properties settings and then edit the properties of the technical indicator using the pop up menu that appears & then click ok button after you change settings.

The following pop up window appears and ADX settings can be edited from this pop up.
