How to Install MetaTrader 5 Platform Software

To start trading online, a trader will need to first setup the MT5 software on their computer & this software is platform that they'll be using to open trade positions in the online market.

To get Meta Trader 5 a gold trader requires to first download the MT5 from an broker.

After downloading the MT5 platform, locate your browser's download folder. For quicker access, maximize your Mozilla Firefox or Chrome window and press CTRL + J on your keyboard. This shortcut will take you to the download location of your MT5 file. Once there, double-click to open the MT5 software and follow the subsequent steps.

Step 1: To initiate installation, click next on the MT5 installation window that launches the MT5 software.

Step 2: Ensure the checkbox labeled "agree to setup" is selected, and then click 'next' to continue with the installation of the MT5 platform.

Step3: On the next window you will see the following settings, just click next to proceed without changing any setting - Meta Trader 5 platform Gold.

The installation progress panel window will pop-up showing the progress of MT5 platform setup, this may take a couple of minutes to complete, at this point you will have to wait for status bar to finish.

When MT5 setup is done, a panel will show up. Click "Finish" to finish setting up MT5.

The MT5 software is now set up for trading, and you can get to it from your computer desktop by clicking on the "MetaTrader 5" icon or by going to the start menu, then "all programs," and then MT5.
