MT5 platform is the software you install on your PC computer. For this learn gold trading course we shall refer to MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 5, because it is the easiest gold platform software to learn with & the most widely used.
MetaTrader 5 also requires very little inter net bandwidth, that way even if you don't have a fast internet connection you can use MT5 without any problem. You will need to register first with a broker before you can download the MetaTrader 5 platform.

MT5 demo account is a free practice account provided for beginners online gold traders, otherwise known as a demo account that you practice with, the cash is virtual, not real money. No one uses real money to begin with, all novice traders use the demo account to practice with before investing and depositing real money to trade with. The MT5 gold practice account is meant to provide free Gold training practice while they learn how to trade the online gold market.
You will need to sign up with an online gold broker before you can get this free practice account. After you signup and register you will then receive login credentials for your MT5 practice account. You will then use these gold account sign in credentials to sign in to your gold MetaTrader 5 practice account and start practicing with.
How to Trade XAUUSD in MT5 Platform
After you have gotten the MT5 gold account details you will then install MT5 software on your PC computer. If you've never installed any software before navigate to the folder where you downloaded the gold MT5 platform (don't know where that is, just Press both Ctrl & J i.e. CTRL+J or (CTRL+Y) Keys on your keyboard, and your MT5 download will appear), double-click the download trading software platform file and then click next, next until you finish installing.
After you've installed the MT5 software you will then open the platform software from the start menu of your computer. After you have opened the MetaTrader 5 platform you will see the interface you will be working with which might seem complicated at first but it is not. The MT5 software tutorials will be explained under the learn tutorial lessons section where you will get an explanation of how to use this MT5 platform in just one hours time.
At the "top left corner" of the MetaTrader 5 platform click on the "File" Menu, a drop down menu appears, scroll to where you see "Login" and click it. You will then be prompted to enter the "username" and "password" that you got when you registered on your broker's website.' You are now logged in to your gold MetaTrader 5 platform and you're ready to begin gold trading.
After this you will see your gold account balance displayed just below gold charts and you as a trader can use now start using MT5 to place demo trades on the Gold trading market.
