MT5 software is the software you install on your PC computer. For this learn trading course we shall refer to MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 5, because it is the easiest platform to learn with and the most widely used.
MetaTrader 5 also requires very little inter net bandwidth, that way even if you don't have a fast internet connection you can use MT5 without any problem. You'll need to register first with a online broker before you can download the MT5.

MT5 Demo account is a free practice account provided for new traders online traders, otherwise referred to as a demo trading account that you practice with, the funds are virtual, not real money. No one uses real money to start with, all novice traders use the Demo account to practice with before investing & depositing real money to trade with. The MT5 demo trading account is meant to provide free training practice as they learn how to trade the market.
You will need to sign up with an online broker before you as a trader can obtain this free practice trading account. After you signup and register you'll then receive login credentials for your MT5 demo trade account. You'll then use these account sign in credentials to sign in to your MetaTrader 5 practice account & start practicing with.
How to Trade XAUUSD in MT5 Software
After you have gotten the Meta Trader 5 account details you will then install MT5 platform on your PC computer. If you've never installed any software before navigate to the folder where you downloaded the gold Meta Trader 5 platform (don't know where that's, just Press both Ctrl and J i.e. CTRL+J or (CTRL+Y) Keys on your key board, and your Meta Trader 5 download will appear), double-click the download trading software platform file and then click next, next until you finish installation.
After you've installed the MT5 software you will then open the platform software from the start menu of your computer. After you have opened the MetaTrader 5 platform you will see the interface you will be working with which might seem complicated at first but it is not. The MT5 software tutorials will be explained under the learn tutorial lessons section where you'll get an explanation of how to use this MetaTrader 5 in just one hours time.
At the "top left corner" of the MetaTrader 5 platform click the "File" Menu, a drop-down menu appears, scroll to where you see "Log In " and click it. You will then be prompted to enter the "username" and "password" that you got when you registered on your broker's web site.' You are now logged in to your MetaTrader 5 platform and you're ready to begin trading.
After this you will see your account balance displayed just below charts and you as a trader can use now start using MT5 to place practice trades on the market.
