Drawing a Upward XAUUSD Trend Line

When the xauusd market moves up it forms higher highs & higher lows forming a bullish market movement - upward gold trend. An upward xauusd trend-line can then be plotted by connecting these higher lows of the gold price.

To draw this upwards trend setup we use support areas. To draw the upward trend line correctly two supports are needed. When gold price touches the upwards line we open buy gold trades & place stop loss just a few pips below the upward trend line. Upward xauusd trend line below shows an example of this upward trend.

The upwards xauusd trend setup will show the general direction of the market as bullish therefore xauusd traders will only open buy long trades as long as price is within this xauusd up trend setup and within the support levels.

These support levels are the levels where if the xauusd market retraces then this support points will provide strong supports for the gold price. This is why many buyers will wait until gold price retraces downward and hits these retracements levels on the upward trend line to open buy gold trades. Trades opened at these levels have a high Risk:Reward Ratio and have little drawdown.

In the above setup the trader would have opened buy gold trades form the xauusd signals generated at the support 1, support 2, support 3 & these buy gold trades would have been opened with minimum amount of draw-down/retracement.

Upward Gold Channel

A xauusd channel is plotted by drawing a line that's parallel to the upwards trendline and then adjusted to touch the top boundary of the gold price movement. This then forms a channel - upward channel & as long as a price stays between these two channels the bullish market xauusd trend movement will continue moving up.
