An upward bitcoin channel is drawn by plotting a line which's parallel to the upwards bitcoin trend line & then adjusted to touch the tops boundary of the bitcoin price movement. This then forms a channel and as long as the bitcoin stays in between these 2 trend channels the bullish upwards market movement will continue heading upward.

A downwards bitcoin channel is drawn by plotting a line which is parallel to the downward bitcoin trend line and then adjusting so that it touches the bottom boundary of the bitcoin price movement. This then forms a downward bitcoin channel and as long as the bitcoin stays in between these 2 channels the general bitcoin trend direction is intact the btcusd trading market trend direction will continue to be bearish.
