How to Log in to MT5 Platform

To trade with the MT5 Gold Platform you will need to first of all enter gold account details - the MT5 platform will prompt you to enter you gold account details and you as a trader can use enter your gold account log in credentials by clicking the File tab in the MetaTrader 5 platform at the top left corner of MetaTrader 5 platform, then select the Login to Trade Account option and then enter your gold account details - gold practice account details for MetaTrader 5 gold demo account & gold live account details for MT5 real gold trading account.

How to Open a Gold on MT5

To open a Gold go the MT5 Market Watch Window select the gold instrument that you want to open and double click on the gold instrument to open the gold chart for this gold instrument.

You can also tap the click to add button at the bottom of the MetaTrader 5 Market Watch Window Panel to add a gold instrument that isn't listed on the Market Watch Widow.

How to Open a Gold Trade on MT5

To open a gold trade in MetaTrader 5 platform right click within the gold chart and choose the New Order Widow to open a buy or sell trade transaction.

A trader can also open the New Order window on the MT5 platform by clicking the MT5 shortcut key - F9, gold traders can press F9 to open the New Order window panel.

From MetaTrader 5 New Order panel a trader can open a buy or a sell gold trade by clicking the Buy by Market to open a buy gold trade or clicking the Sell by Market to open a sell gold trade. From this gold new order trade window a trader can also specify the gold lot size that they want to buy or sell.

How to Open a Buy Trade on MT5

To open a buy gold trade sect the New Order panel in the MT5 Platform by pressing F9, specify the gold lot size you want to trade, click the Buy by Market Button Key to open a buy gold trade in MT5 Platform.

How to Open a Sell Trade on MT5

To open a sell gold trade sect the New Order panel in the MT5 Platform by pressing F9, specify the gold lot size you want to trade, click the Sell by Market Button Key to open a sell gold trade in MT5 Platform.

How to Close a Gold Trade on MT5

Open the MetaTrader 5 Terminal Window where open gold trades are displayed on the MT5 Platform by pressing MT5 shortcut Keys CTRL+T, then select the gold trade that you want to close, then choose Close Order option - and this then opens a gold Order window to close the gold trade - click the yellow Close button key to close the gold trade in MetaTrader 5 platform.

Take Profit Level can also be set when modifying an already open gold trade, to modify & set take profit for an open gold trade - right click on trade you want to modify on the MT5 Terminal Window Panel or on the Gold trading chart, Choose Modify Order, Select Take Profit & set the Take Profit Level that you want for your open gold trade transaction.

How to Set Stop Loss on MT5

Stop-Loss Level can be set when opening a new gold trade in MetaTrader 5 platform. On the New Order window provided on the MT5 platform there is a field for Stop Loss - this is where a trader will specify the stoploss level for their open gold trade transaction.

StopLoss Level can also be set when modifying an already open gold trade, to modify & set a stop loss for an open gold trade - right click on gold trade that you want to modify on the MT5 Terminal Window or on the Gold trading chart, Select Modify Order, Select Stop Loss & set the Stop Loss Level you want for your open gold trade transaction.

How to Place a Gold Pending Order on MT5

To place a gold pending order open the New Order Window on the MT5 platform, then change the gold order Type from Market Execution to Pending Order.

Gold traders can then select the gold pending order which they want to set, the pending orders are buy limit, buy stop, sell limit, sell stop.
