Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open the Navigator window as illustrated and shown below - Go to "View" menu (then click) & then select "Navigator" window (click), or From the Standard Tool Bar click the "Navigator" button key or press short cut keyboard keys "Ctrl+N"

On the MT5 Navigator window, choose "Technical Indicators", (Double Click)

Step 2: Expand MetaTrader 5 Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the menu by clicking the expand button marker (+) or double click the "indicators" menu, after this the MT5 button will appear as (-) and will now display a list as shown below.

Placing On Balance Volume Indicator on XAUUSD Trading Chart

Step 1: Choose the On Balance Volume button key on MT5 list of technical indicators as displayed below:

Step 2: Double click the On Balance Volume Button Key, and click okay to attach the OBV Technical Indicator on chart as illustrated & shown below:

To Alter the Settings, right click on the On Balance Volume Trading Indicator, select properties settings and then edit the properties of the technical indicator using pop up menu that appears & then click ok button after you change settings.

The following pop up window appears and On Balance Volume Technical Indicator settings can be edited from this pop up.
