The MT4 Web Based Platform is the web platform version of the MetaTrader 4 Platform for PC Desktop Software. Meta Trader 4 Web Trader Version provides the same look and feel for the MetaTrader 4 platform as that of the MetaTrader 4 Platform for PC. The MetaTrader 4 software is a software that is installed on a client’s computer & it is intended to do the following:
- Plot charts Information about price rates in form of a grid/chart
- Receive Streaming trading price quotes from the brokers
- Perform operations: Buying & Selling
- Show the open trade transactions and orders
- Perform technical analysis on charts

From the Web browser MT4 platform traders can open trades, interpret charts and get a summary of account balance, open orders & open trades.

You can download the software from broker’s websites, once you download it, you should then setup & install the software on a PC Desktop computer that has an online internet connection & then connect to your broker and start receiving real-time quotes. The MT4 has different window and chart panels each designed to deliver a different type of market data data, beginning with the exchange rate quotes used to draw charts to the Market data window panel, MetaTrader 4 Tool-bars for attaching indicators to the charts & the main menu bar used to navigate the MT4 platform.
Installing MT4 Software
To install MetaTrader 4 you will have to download the software, then open the download, from there a set up wizard appears & all you've to do is to follow the set up instructions. After setup the software will run automatically just like any other software. You can launch the MetaTrader 4 from the start menu.
With MetaTrader 4 xauusd account traders can login to either the MetaTrader 4 Web API - Meta Trader 4 Web Based Software or the MetaTrader 4 desktop platform & get access to their account from either of these 2 software.
