How Do You Analyze Buy & Sell Gold Orders in MetaTrader 4 Gold Charts?
To open a buy or a sell xauusd trade in MetaTrader 4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the XAUUSD Quote you want to open a XAUUSD Trade with, open the chart of the instrument symbol by double clicking on the xauusd quote, then from the chart open a buy or sell xauusd trade using the MT4 order window shown below:
Place New XAUUSD Order on Tools Menu in MetaTrader 4 Platform
A new buy or sell xauusd order to buy or sell xauusd can be found on the tools menu that is found in the MT4 XAUUSD Trading Platform. The "New Gold Order" button for placing a new trade transaction on the MT4 platform is shown below. (MT4 Short Cut Keyboard Keys 'F9')

Buy or Sell Gold Trading Order on MT4 Platform
As a xauusd trader, once you select the new xauusd order button key as illustrated above the following trade order popup window will appear. This pop up includes settings for placing a new trade transaction.
Choose Buy to open a Buy XAUUSD Trade
Select Sell to open a Sell XAUUSD Trade
How to Read Buy & Sell Gold Orders in MetaTrader 4 XAUUSD Charts
The Following Setting are specified for setting a new gold trade order:
- Quote - Specify the instrument to be traded.
- Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
- Stop Loss Gold Order - Set Stop Loss XAUUSD Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending xauusd orders
- Take Profit Gold Order - Set Take Profit XAUUSD Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending xauusd orders
- Type: Market Execution or Pending XAUUSD Order
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell XAUUSD Trade
- Buy by Market - Open a Buy XAUUSD Trade
To Buy at current gold price choose Buy by Market button key
To Sell at current gold price choose Sell by Market button key
