How to Interpret a Symbol on MT4

To add symbols on the MT4 platform use the MT4 'Market Watch' Window - To Open MT4 MarketWatch Window, Click 'View' Menu next to the 'File' Menu at the top left corner of your MT4 Platform - from the drop down menu select 'Market Watch' button so as to open the 'Market Watch' in the MT4 platform.

Once you open the MT4 MarketWatch window the list of available symbols will be portrayed on the MT4 platform & as trader you can open a chart from the MT4 market watch window. From this MetaTrader 4 Market watch panel you also can add quotes in MetaTrader 4 platform.

If you want to add more symbols on this MetaTrader 4 MarketWatch window, Right Click within the MT4 Market Watch window and a Pop Window appears - from this MT4 popup window select the option - 'Show All' - this will then display all the symbols which are available for xauusd on the MT4 platform.

Once the quotes are opened on the MetaTrader 4 Market Watch window panel, you can then choose any of the symbol & open a chart by double clicking on that symbol.
