Trading Stocks Set a Sell Limit Stock Order on MT4
The example illustrated and explained below explains how to set a sell limit order on MT4 platform.
A sell limit order is an order to sell a stock at a better stocks price after the stock market price has retraced.
Setting Sell Limit Stock Orders on MT4 Software
To set these sell limit pending orders on the MT4 platform use the following procedure:
- Right click on stock trading chart
- Choose 'Trading' Option on the Menu
- Then Choose 'New' Order Option on the Pop-up widow that appears
- Then on the trade setup pop up panel that pops up (illustrated below), under label 'Type' select option of "Pending Stocks Order" instead of 'market execution' trade order
- Under the pending stocks order options select the pending stocks trading order type: For This trade select "Sell Limit Stocks Order" so as to set a pending sell limit order and after which specify the stocks price at which you want the sell entry limit stocks order executed.
