Gold Trade Software Work-Space - Opening Gold Trading MT4 Workspace
The first thing to learn about MT4 platform software before starting to trade Gold is how to navigate the trading space. A beginner XAUUSD trader will need to learn how to navigate this trading work-space and how to save their workspace so that it's easier for them to analyze Gold price moves when trading XAUUSD metal.
The software trading workspace will include charts, chart toolbars, other financial instruments like FX currencies and Stock iindices, chart indicators, trading tools, open trading orders & trading balance. One will need to know how to organize all these on their trading platform to create a trading work-space suitable for them. A trader can for example decide to organize their workspace as shown below.
If as a trader your platform doesn't have any of the above windows after installing and downloading just press CTRL+T, then press CTRL+M and then "CTRL+N" After that your workspace should look like the work-space above.
If you as the trader want to hide any of the window just press again either CTRL+T, or CTRL+M or "CTRL+N" Depending on the panel you want to hide.
Saving a Workspace on the MT4 Platform Software
On MT4 platform you may want to save your workspace the way it is so that it is loaded in the same format the next time you login to your platform to trade Gold metal.
In the MT4 XAUUSD trading platform there are two ways of saving you current workspace after you have completed organizing it.This workspace is the Gold trading charts that you have opened along with the other trading windows on your platform together with any other information on these charts like the attached chart trading indicators.
On the MT4 workspace button illustrated and shown below a gold trader can save several different work-space and then load them later. The Save & Load Work-Space on the MT4 is illustrated below.

On the above screen shot the save work-space is the button labeled "Default" this is the current loaded work-space. To save another workspace using a different name click on this button after organizing the workspace that you want to save and space the work-space using a different name.
Save Template - there is also a different option of saving a template, this option is for saving a system that you have put on a chart & you may want to place the same trade system on another chart without having to begin all over again placing one technical indicator after the other.
For example if you have placed a trading system of four indicators which you have placed on the Gold chart & you as a trader want to place the same system on the Silver XAG/USD metal you can use this example template to save the template & then use the same to load the template on another trading chart.
Saving a Workspace
To save a MT4 work space which is a collection of the all the open charts and all the indicators attached to these trading charts on the XAUUSD Trading Platform Software, Click the "Save Work-Space" button illustrated and shown below.

How To Load a Workspace in MT4 Platform Software
To Save the above Work-Space - Click "Save Profile, and choose & select the profile with the name "Euro"
To load this Work Space any other time, click the short-cut above that is marked "Euro"
To load the British Pound Work-Space, press the above short-cut that's marked "British Pound"
When trading forex currencies or precious metals with this platform software you as a trader can "load" or "save" a workspace by simply clicking on a single platform button provided like shown above - this makes it is easier to trade with the FX and Gold trading MT4 Software Platform.
Saving a Template - Saving a System as a Template
From the screenshot below all a gold trader has to do is to click the buttons below - Templates Icon and choose the "Save Template" Button.

If as a gold trader you want to save the above trading system in your XAUUSD platform work-space, click the templates button as is illustrated above, then select "Save Templates" like shown above, then specify the "name" of the trading system & click "okay".
To load a template on another trading chart, click the "Load Template Button" like as illustrated above, then choose & select the path of where to load the system from. You can even select to download atrade system, if you have downloaded, or want to choose one that's saved from another MT4 of another broker within your PC computer drive C: / Programs / MT4 / templates / Name of System.
To load a template, there is a shortcut listing of saved templates like shown above, press on any item on the short-cut listed to load it.
