MT5 Bitcoin Timeframes: Chart Periods in MetaTrader 5
Periodicity is commonly known as Bitcoin Timeframes by many traders. On the MT5 software.
The button below is used to select and choose the periodicity or crypto chart time frame to trade with. This button can be accessed on the MetaTrader 5 software like shown below.

On the MT5 platform software these crypto chart time-frames are:
- 1 Minute Time-frame - M1
- 5 Minute Chart Time-frame - M5
- 15 Minute Time-frame - M15
- 30 Min Chart Time-frame - M30
- 1H Time-frame - H1
- 4 Hour Time-frame - H4
- Daily Chart Time-frame - D1
- Weekly Time Frame - W1
- Monthly Time-frame - MN
How to Know Which BTCUSD Chart Time Frame You are Using
A common question, especially for new traders, is how to know which cryptocurrency chart time-frame you're using on your MT5 platform.
As illustrated below, numerous techniques exist to ascertain the current time frame being utilized on an MT5 chart.
Use the above Menu as Shown above
In this crypto example, click the periodicity button under charts. A list of BTCUSD MT5 time frames appears. The active one highlights in color. In our case, it's the 1 Hour (H1) frame. Its icon shows in light blue on the left.

This MT5 time-frame MT5 toolbar is usually found at the very top of the MT5 program & it shows all the crypto chart time choices just like you can see here. The specific cryptocurrency chart time choice a trader is using will look different from the other crypto chart time choices: the time-frame that's being used will look like it's pressed in, just like it's shown here:

The selected MetaTrader 5 chart time frame is displayed in the upper-left section of the bitcoin trading MT5 chart, as shown beneath:

When you open a chart, you can then use the methods above to find out which timeframe you're trading with on the bitcoin chart.
If you're trading a lot of charts, you can also utilize the tabs. Go to the View menu and then select and select Charts Bar to see this tab. The next MT5 bar, which mirrors the btcusd chart and the Bitcoin time frame, will be available for you to use for navigation.
