Bitcoin stop loss orders auto-close open bitcoin trades in MetaTrader 4. Traders set them to cut losses. They trigger when trades go against you by set bitcoin pips.
StopLoss orders can be set when executing new bitcoin trades and stoploss orders can also be set for already opened bitcoin trades.
How to set stop losses for Bitcoin when initiating new BTCUSD trades
- Open a BTCUSD CryptoCurrency trading chart for the crypto instrument you as a trader want to trade
- Right Click the Bitcoin Chart
- Select New Order button
- Select the Set Stop Loss Option within this New Order bitcoin trading window
- Specify your StopLoss level for the bitcoin trade that you as a trader want to open
- Choose buy or sell to open a bitcoin cryptocurrency trade
For a buy bitcoin trade the bitcoin stop loss order is set below the bitcoin price quote you want to open buy at & for a sell bitcoin trade the bitcoin stop loss order is set above the bitcoin price quote you want to open sell at.
How to Put BTCUSD Stop Losses for Open Bitcoin Trades
Select bitcoin trade you want to modify from the MT4 bitcoin trades panel
- Right-click the bitcoin trade order and choose Modify Order
- Select StopLoss Field
- Specify the StopLoss level for the bitcoin crypto trade
- Click the Modify Order Button
