Read Divergence in Stocks? - Divergence stocks setup is one of the stocks strategy used by traders - divergence stocks involves looking at a stocks chart and one more stocks indicator. For our stock trading divergence trading example we shall use the MACDÂ stocks technical indicator.
To identify this stock trading divergence trading set up find two chart points at which he stocks price makes a new swing high or a new swing low but the MACD indicator does not, thus illustrating a stocks divergence between the stocks price & momentum.
To look for divergence stocks signal we look for 2 chart points on a stocks chart - 2 stocks price highs that form an M shape on the stocks chart or two stocks price lows that form a W Shape on the stock trading chart. Then look for same M-shape or W Shape on the stocks indicator that you use to trade stock trading - for example RSI indicator or MACD technical indicator.
Example of a Stocks Divergence Setup Trade Setup:
In the stocks chart below we spot two chart points, chart point A and chart point B - swing highs. These two chart points form an M-shape on the stock trading chart.
Then using MACD technical indicator we check the highs made by the MACD stocks technical technical indicator, these are the highs that are directly below Chart point Marked A and Chart point Marked B.
We then draw one line on the stocks chart & another line on the MACD technical indicator.
