How Do You Open MT4 Chart?
Chart - open the chart of the instrument symbol selected - in the 'Market Watch' window in the MetaTrader 4 platform.
To Open the MT4 Market Watch Window Panel, Click "View' Menu next to 'File" Menu at the tops left corner of MT4 forex Platform, then from the dropdown menu select 'Market Watch' button so as to open the 'Market Watch' in MT4 forex Platform.
Once you open the Market Watch panel the list of available instruments will be highlighted on the MetaTrader 4 software and as trader you can open a chart from the market watch panel.

The market watch window on MT4 is used to display an array of forex instruments quotes for instruments.
To access this Market Watch display of forex instruments on the MT4 Platform Software a trader should go to view menu as shown & displayed below & select Market Watch Window by Clicking on it. (The Ctrl+M is short cut for accessing this window as shown and illustrated below, by pressing this short cut, you can enable market watch panel without going to the 'view' menu)

Once a trader chooses the market-watch panel window, the following panel will pop-up showing a list of Forex instruments available for trading.

If you want to add more charts quotes on this Market Watch window, Right Click within the Market-Watch window and a Pop Window appears - from the pop-up window choose the option - 'Show All' - this will then display all the instruments that are available for trading in the MetaTrader 4 platform.
Once these quotes are opened on the Market Watch panel, you can then choose any of the quote & open a chart by double clicking on that forex instrument quote.

As a trader you might also want to trade a instrument that is not listed on this MT4 forex instruments list as illustrated below. For example, on the above listing only 5 forex instruments are shown.
To get the other instrument symbols which are not listed, you can right-click inside this market watch window as illustrated below and the following window will appear.
