There are two types of forex Channels - upward forex trend-line & downwards Channels. The step by step procedure of how to draw forex Channels for upward and downward forex trends is explained below:
Forex Up Ward Channels
An upward forex channel is plotted by drawing a line that is parallel to the upward trend line & then adjusted to touch the top boundary of the forex price movement. This then forms a channel & as long as the FX price stays between these two trading channels the bullish market movement will continue moving upwards.

Forex Down Ward Channels
A downward forex channel is plotted by drawing a line that is parallel to the downwards forex trend-line and then adjusting it to touch the bottoms boundary of the forex price movement. This then forms a downward forex channel and as long as price stays between these 2 channels the general forex trend direction is intact the market trend direction will continue being bearish.

The MT4 forex Channels drawing tools used to draw these forex Channels setups on the MT4 are located on the MT4 drawing charts toolbar within the MT4 forex charts, To access this MT4 charts toolbar if it is not activated on your platform, Click in "View" Next to "File" menu at the tops left corner of MetaTrader 4 platform & click "View", Then Click on "Tool Bars" button key, Then Check the "Lines Toolbar" by clicking on it.
