To set a new commodity order in MetaTrader 4 software use the procedure guide explained below:
Place New Commodities Order on Tools Menu on MetaTrader 4 Platform
A new commodities order to buy or sell a trade can be found on the tools popup menu within the MT4 Platform as shown below. New order button for placing a new commodities trade is displayed & illustrated below. (ShortCut 'F9')

Placing a New Commodity Order
Once you've selected the new order button key as illustrated above the following commodity trade order pop-up window will appear.
This pop-up includes settings for placing a new commodity order.
How to Set Commodity Trading Orders in MT4
The Following Order Setting are specified for setting up and placing a new commodity order:
- Symbol - Specify the instrument to be traded.
- Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
- Stop Loss Commodities Order - Set Stop Loss Commodity Trading Order, This option can also be set up after opening the trade, or for a pending commodity trading orders
- Take Profit Commodities Order - Set Take Profit Commodity Trading Order, This option can also be set up after opening the trade, or for a pending commodity trading orders
- Type: Market Execution or Pending Commodity Trading Order
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
- Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade
To Buy at current commodity price & open new commodity order choose Buy by Market commodity order button
To Sell at current commodity price & open new commodity order select Sell by Market commodity order button
