How to Place MT5 Indicators on MT5 Charts

Step 1: Open The Software Navigator Window

Open Navigator window as shown below - Go to " View " menu (then click it), then choose " Meta Trader 5 Navigator " window (click), or From Standard Tool Bar click "Meta Trader 5 Navigator" button or press keyboard short-cut keys "Ctrl+N"

On MT5 Navigator window panel, select "Technical Indicators", (DoubleClick)

Step 2: Expand the MetaTrader 5 Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand Meta Trader 5 trade indicator pop-up menu by clicking the expand button marker (+) or double click the "indicators" menu, after this MetaTrader 5 button key will now then appear as (-) and will now display as a list as displayed below.

From Above panel you can then add any MetaTrader 5 indicator that you want on MT5 chart.

Placing Average Directional Movement on a Chart

Step 1: Select the ADX button on the MetaTrader 5 list of indicators shown below:

Step 2: Double click ADX Button, and click okay to add the indicator on the chart as shown below:

Edit ADX Indicator Setting

To Adjust Settings, right-click in ADX, choose property setting and then edit the properties of the indicator using the popup menu that appears and then click ok button key once you've changed the setting.

The following pop up window panel pops up & ADX settings can be edited from this popup window.
