How to Open Stocks Demo Account From MetaTrader 4 Platform

The Stocks demo account to learn stocks with is the MT4 demo account. To open a new demo account for practice trading, one can do this directly from their platform. Below using the MetaTrader 4 platform, on the top left corner: click File then click the 'Open an Account' button as shown below.

Once you click this link you will be taken to your stocks broker website where you can register for MT4 demo account details of a practice account.

Next step is to fill the following MetaTrader 4 practice stocks account opening forms displayed below, the required data is:

• Your first name
• Last name
• Country
• City or town
• Phone number
• E Mail address.

After filling these MetaTrader 4 practice stocks account sign up details on the form below, click the open trading demo account button.

Once you fill Meta Trader 4 practice stocks account sign up form & complete this step, you will then receive confirmation details of your online demo login and password details as illustrated below. A copy of these Stocks login credentials will also be sent to your e-mail address.

Once you receive the practice stocks account login credentials, you can now then login into the MetaTrader 4 platform & start to access the financial market and practice trading on this demo practice account.

How to Log In to Demo Account

To login to your Meta Trader 4 trading demo: Open MetaTrader 4 platform and at the tops left corner of MT4 click 'File' button then click Login as shown below:

The following pop up widow will popup prompting you to enter your demo account login credentials & password. Enter the stocks sign-in credentials as shown below and save the information by checking the "save account information" button key so that there is no need to retype this the next time that you want to login.

Once you have opened a free practice stocks account you can then start to practice the following:

• How to place stocks orders
• How to open charts and place indicators
• How to Analyze Stocks charts
• How to monitor profits & losses
• How to navigate MT4 platform interface

While practicing all the above, the money used is virtual money, meaning a practice trader will practice using virtual money but everything else including stocks price movements will reflect the true stocks market movement.

Practice Demo versus Live Account

The stocks practice demo account only difference to the live stocks account is the deposit, with a practice stocks account a trader cannot deposit or withdraw money but with the real account a trader can deposit and withdraw money & all the trades will be transacted using real money and profits can be withplotted & losses will be deducted from the deposited amount.

Traders should use this practice account to test out their stocks strategy and practice stocks until such a time that they can trade the stocks market profitably. Then when they learn how to make profit on their practice account then they can open a live stocks account and start trading the real market.
