There are 3 types of stocks charts: Line stock chart, bar chart & candlestick chart.
Candlesticks Charts - the stocks candles charts use the same price data as stocks bar charts (open, high, low, and close). However, they represent the charts in a much more easily identifiable way which looks like a candlestick with wicks on both ends.
How to Read Candles Stocks Trading Charts
Rectangle part of the candle is known as the body.
The high & low are described as shadows and are plotted as poking lines.

The color of the stocks trading candlestick is either blue or red
- (Blue or Green Color candle) - Stocks price moved up
- (Red Color candlestick) - Stocks price moved down
Most stocks trading platforms like the MT4 stock platform, use colors to mark the direction of the stocks price. Colors used are blue or green: - green stocks candle-stick when price moves up, red stocks candle stick when price moves down.
What is a Line Charts?
A line chart in Stocks Trading draws the closing stocks price of a stocks and connects this closing stocks price to the closing stocks price of the next trading period hence forming a continuous stocks line chart that plots the movement of stocks price movement.
Line Chart - draws a continuous line connecting closing stocks prices of a on the stocks price chart.

What is a Bar Charts?
Bar Charts are charts representation of the stocks price displayed as sequence of OHCL bars. O H C L represents OPEN HIGH LOW & CLOSE. The Opening stocks price is displayed as a horizontal dash on the left & closing stocks price as a horizontal dash on the right.
