How to Open a Buy or Sell Trade - Indices Trading
This guide explains how traders can place and open new orders for index trading. Begin by opening the chart of the index you plan to trade. For this example, we pick the US 100 Cash Index, known as the NASDAQ 100. Follow the steps shown below to open or carry out an order.
Click anywhere inside the chart and the drop-down illustrated below appears, select the second option which is "Trading" and then choose option marked "New Order" such as shown below.

Another Option is to go to "Tools" menu at the top of the platform, next to file, view, charts & then choose the first option on tools drop down menu; the option is "New Order", just like the one above.
A shortcut is to press F9 key on your keyboard.
The subsequent order placement pop-up window will appear, allowing a trader to issue an order from this newly opened trade window, just as depicted below.

Use the panel above to start a buy or sell position. Choose based on your market view.
If the market is moving up you open a buy trade position
If the market is moving down you open a sell position
If you want to open another trade and trade other Indices, just open another chart or go to a different chart using the "Charts Bar," and then start a new order on that chart.
The Charts Bar is illustrated and shown below:

The button shown below is utilized to select the chosen trading interval or crypto chart timeframe. This control can be accessed within the MetaTrader 5 platform software, as demonstrated in the subsequent visual.
