Opening an Offline Chart on MT4 Platform
In MetaTrader 4, you might open an offline chart to study it without live updates. FX traders rarely need this. But the MT4 program includes the option.
The File Navigation dropdown menu, illustrated above, has its second option dedicated to opening an offline chart view.

When a forex trader clicks to open a chart that is not online, a window will show up, and then they can pick which offline chart they want to open from that menu.

From the pop-up menu, you can open any listed offline chart. It tracks the number of saved price bars. It also shows the start date up to the last update.
This option is not required so much on trading but it is good to explain it for course purposes.
