MetaTrader 4 Charts Bar and Tabs Navigation - MT4 Platform Tutorial
When you open many charts on the MetaTrader 4 software, they are arranged in navigation tabs bar just below the workspace as shown below.
If on your MetaTrader 4 platform this display bar is not highlighted - as in the example shown above - you can follow the following procedure to show this bar as well as these tabs.
On the “View” menu drop down list option, the fourth button is named “Charts Bar” as shown above. To view this display bar just click and check or tick this button and the it will appear as shown below displaying all the open currency pairs as tabs that a trader can use to open any of these listed.
Once you tick this option the bar appears and this bar also has right and left arrows that a trader can use to scroll to the left or to the right and navigate other open currency pairs from this bar.
These tabs are used to organize all the open currency pairs on the MetaTrader 4 in an orderly manner. This tab also gives the trader easy access to any chart that they might have opened.
As the trader continues to open more chart, this tab adds navigation arrows to the right and to the left of this toolbar, this way a trader can scroll to the left or to the right until they find the chart for the currency pair that they want to trade.
For ease of navigation each tab also shows the time-frame for which this particular chart is set for. For Example in the above screenshot image The EURUSD is marked H1 for 1 hour time-frame, so is GBPUSD USDJPY, USDCHF and AUDUSD. The last Ttab does not show the time-frame and a trader has to use the right and left scroll arrow buttons next to this tab to navigate. Once the trader reaches one end that arrow is then grayed out - as shown above, the right arrow scroll button above is greyed because the first currency pair EURUSD is the first currency on the right side of this bar.
