How to calculate Nano Account Pip Value - How Many Dollars is a Nano PIP?
In forex, pips measure pair moves. For a nano lot, one pip equals $0.01, as shown in the examples.
How to Calculate Pip value in a Nano Account
For a Nano account, figure pip profit or loss by counting pips in a currency pair move. Multiply that by $0.01. This is the value for Nano lot pips.
One pip represents the smallest unit of movement for a currency pair used by forex traders. For trades executed in Nano lots, a one-pip value equals $0.01 (calculated as 100 Units of currency $ imes$ 0.0001 = $0.01).
How to Calculate Profit and Loss in a Nano Trading Account
For Example if EUR USD forex pair heads from 1.2000 to 1.2001 - this is equivalent to 1 pip - one pip is the 4th decimal place in the fx quote.
The profit or loss will be:
1.2001 - 1.2000 = 1 pip
1 pip* $0.01 per 1 pip = $0.01
Hence, 1 pip move for Nano lot is equal to $0.01
If the trade moves in the intended direction, the trader will gain a profit of $0.01. Conversely, if the trade moves against the intended direction, the trader will incur a loss of $0.01.
Example 2: For Instance if EURUSD goes up from 1.2000 to 1.2050 that is the same as 50 pips - 1 pip is the 4th number after the decimal in the fx price.
The profit or loss will be:
1.2050 - 1.2000 = 50 pips
50 pip* $0.01 per 1 pip = $0.5
Hence, 50 pips move for Nano lot is equivalent to $0.5
If the trade moves in favor of the intended direction, the trader gains a profit of $0.5. Conversely, if the transaction goes against the trade's direction, a loss of $0.5 will be incurred.
Example 3: For example, if EURUSD goes from 1.2000 to 1.2100, that's 100 pips – one pip is the 4th number after the dot in the fx currency quote.
The profit or loss will be:
1.2100 - 1.2000 = 100 pips
100 pip* $0.01 per 1 pip = $1
Hence, 100 pips move for Nano lot is equivalent to $1 dollar
Should the trade transaction proceed in the anticipated direction, the trader realizes a profit of $1. Conversely, if the transaction moves contrary to the predicted direction, the trader incurs a loss equivalent to $1 dollar.
