Templates on the Charts Menu in the MetaTrader 4 Platform Software

The templates option is provided within the charts menu on the MT4 xauusd platform. The MetaTrader 4 template is used by many traders to save their systems, this way they can load trade system on new chart direct from this template option without having to put the chart technical indicators one by one every time they open a new chart. MT4 Change Template - traders also can use these MT4 template option to save more than one xauusd templates and they keep changing from one template to another when trading on MT4 charts

Save a System as a Template on the MetaTrader 4 Software

For example as a trader you might come up with a system shown below.

This system takes 5 min to set up, It would take five minutes to set it on each chart you open. But the MT4 chart template will save you this time by saving this system as a MT4 template and to place this MT4 chart template on another chart you only need to load the template in the MetaTrader 4 platform.

To save the above system you will open the templates button within the charts menu on MT4 and use the save template option.

After selecting the save template button the following pop up will appear and you as a trader can use save MT4 chart template & give it a name as shown below.

First step is to give MT4 chart template a name, we name our MetaTrader 4 template as tradeforextrading and click the save button.

Load a Template on MetaTrader 4

To load a template on the MetaTrader 4 platform, go the charts menu on the MT4 software select the templates button & select the submenu item for load template. This will load the named template on to the new chart as displayed and shown below.

The named template on the MT4 platform is shown on the list above: this is a short cut for the available templates that have been saved on the MetaTrader 4 platform. Another option is to use the 'Load Template', which is the second option marked as 'Load Template' on the template menu sub items on the MT4.

MetaTrader 4 Change Template Remove Template

The third option in the MT4 template sub menus is the remove template; this sub menu item will remove any MetaTrader 4 chart template that's loaded on the chart.
