Periodicity on Charts Menu in MetaTrader 4
MetaTrader 4 Commodities Trading Chart Time Frames; Multiple Time Frame Indicator
Periodicity is commonly referred to as Commodities Trading Chart Time Frames by many traders. On the MT4 platform.
The button below is used to choose the periodicity or commodity chart time frame to trade with. This button can be accessed on the MetaTrader 4 platform as illustrated below.

How to Know Which Commodities Chart Time-frame You are Using
A common question especially if you are new to commodity trading would be how to identify which commodity chart time frame you are using on your MT4 platform:
There are various methods of knowing which MetaTrader 4 commodity chart time frame you are using as Shown below:
Use the above Menu as Shown above
In the above commodities trading example once you select the periodicity button under the charts menu, then the list of commodity MetaTrader 4 chart time frames is shown and the commodities chart time frame that is currently selected, the one that you are using will be highlighted with a different color, on our above example this is the 1 Hour(H1) commodity chart time frame, whose Icon on the left is highlighted in light blue.
MetaTrader 4 Multiple Timeframes On One Chart - Multiple Timeframe In One Chart
This MT4 periodicity toolbar is by default located at the top of the MetaTrader 4 commodities trading platform and has all commodities chart time frames marked as shown below. The chart time frame that a trader is using will be marked differently from the other commodity chart time frames, the selected commodity chart time frame will be "indented" as shown below:

At the top left corner of the commodities MetaTrader 4 chart, the MT4 commodity chart time frame is displayed as shown below:

When you open a commodity chart you can then use the above three methods to know which periodicity - commodity chart time frame you are trading with.
You can also use the tabs, if you're trading many commodity charts. To view this tab, Go to "View Menu" then Select "Charts Bar". The following MetaTrader 4 bar will appear that you can use to navigate and it indicates the commodities as well as the commodity chart time frame.
