Commodity Trading prices should move within this trend line & commodity prices should not go past the trend line. As long as commodity price is within the trendline then the trend is still intact.

The commodity prices should move along the direction of the trend until such a time when the trend-line is broken. Once the trend line is broken by the commodity price - then commodity traders will analyze this as a possible commodity trend reversal signal because commodity prices are not moving along the commodity support levels or commodity resistance levels provided by the trend line & thus this might mean that the commodity trend is no longer holding.
