Trading Stock Buy & Sell in MetaTrader 4 Stock Charts

To open a buy or a sell stocks trade in MT4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Stocks Symbol you want to open a Stocks Trade with, open the stock chart of the stocks symbol by double clicking on the stocks price quote, then from the stock chart open a buy or sell stocks trade using the MT4 order window shown below:

Place New Order in Tools Menu in MetaTrader 4 Platform

A new buy or sell order to buy or sell a stocks instrument can be found on the tools menu found within the MT4 Stocks Platform. The 'New Order' button for placing a new trade transaction on the MT4 platform is shown below. (Keyboard Short Cut Keys 'F9')

Placing a New Stock Order

As a stocks trader, once you select the new order button as illustrated and shown above the following trade order popup window will appear. This popup includes settings for placing a new stocks trade.

Select Buy to open a Buy Trade

Select Sell to open a Sell Trade

Following Settings are specified for placing & setting a new stocks order:

1. Quote - Specify the instrument to be traded - stocks.
2. Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
3. Stop Loss Stock Order - Set Stop Loss Stocks Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending stocks orders
4. Take Profit Stock Order - Set Take Profit Stocks Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending stocks orders
5. Type: Market Execution or Pending Stocks Order
6. Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
7. Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade

To Buy at current stocks price select the Buy by Market button key

To Sell at current stocks price select the Sell by Market button key
