How to Determine if there is a Stocks Trend

When it comes to identifying trends in stocks - traders need to learn the correct way of identifying stocks trend on stocks charts.

A stocks trend is a general direction of stocks price in the stock trading market and this general direction can either be upwards or downwards. When the stocks trend is upwards it means that stocks prices are closing higher than where they opened and therefore the general stocks trend direction of stocks prices is upwards. When the stocks trend is downwards it means that stocks prices are closing lower than where they opened and therefore the general stocks trend direction of stocks prices is downwards.

To identify a stocks trend stocks trader will use a sequence of stocks price highs or stocks price lows.

Traders will then draw a stocks trend-line connecting stocks price highs or stocks price lows and this stocks trend line will then indicate the direction of the trend whether upward or downwards.

Stocks Upwards Trend

To identify a stocks upward trend stocks trader will identify stocks price lows that are sloping upwards and then use a stocks trend line - upwards stocks trend line to connect these stocks price lows and once this trend line is drawn on the stocks chart it'll then be used to identify the upward stock trend.

Stocks Downwards Trend

To identify a stocks downward trend stocks trader will identify stocks price highs that are sloping downwards and then use a stocks trendline - downwards stocks trend line to connect these stocks price highs and once this trend line is drawn on the stocks chart it'll then be used to identify the downward stock trend.

Once stocks traders draw and identify a stocks trend using stocks trend line - traders will then open stock trades in the direction of this stocks trend. This is because once prices start to move in a stocks trend direction - the stocks prices will keep moving in that direction for some time and this is why stocks traders identify the stocks trend first & use this stocks trend to open stock trades in the direction for the stocks trend.
