Strategy for Trading CAC40 Stock Indices

The CAC40 Stock Index tracks the capitalization of top 40 corporations in France. This Stock Index generally move upward over long-term because the French economy also shows strong growth.

As a stock index trader you want to be biased & keep on buying as the index heads & moves upward. When French economy is performing good most of these top stocks will continue going up and therefore this stock index will also move in an upwards trend. A good index strategy would be to buy price dips.

During Economic Slow-Down & Recession

During economic slowdown and recession periods, corporations start and begin to report slower earnings, slower profits and lowers growth projections. It is due to and because of this reason that investors start to sell stocks of companies which are recording & reporting lower profits and therefore Index tracking these particular specifed stocks will also start to head & move downward.

Hence, during these times, trends are much more likely to be heading and moving downwards & you as a trader should also adjust your strategy accordingly to suit the prevailing downwards trends of the index which you are trading.
