How to Open a Demo Account from MT4 Platform

The Trading demo account to learn stock indices with is the MetaTrader 4 demo account. To open a new demo account for practice trading, one can do this directly from their platform. Below using MetaTrader 4 software, on the tops left corner: click File then click 'Open an Account' button as displayed below.

Once you click on this link you will be taken to your stock broker site where you can register for MT4 practice stock account details of a practice account.

Next step is to fill the following MT4 demo stock account opening forms displayed below, the required data is:

• Your first name
• Last name
• Country
• City or town
• Phone number
• EMail address.

After filling these MetaTrader 4 practice stock account opening details on the form below, click the open demo stock account button.

How to Sign In to Demo Account

To log in to your MetaTrader 4 practice: Open MetaTrader 4 software & at the tops left corner of MT4 click 'File' button key then click Sign in as shown below:

The following pop up widow will pop up prompting you to enter your demo stock account sign in authorization credentials and password. Enter the login details as shown and illustrated below and save the information by checking the 'save account information' button key so that there is no need to retype the next time you want to login.

Once you have opened free practice stock account you can then begin to practice the following:

• How to place stock orders
• How to open stock charts and place indicators
• How to Analyze Stock charts
• How to monitor profits and losses
• How to navigate the Meta Trader 4 software interface

While practicing all the above, the money used is virtual money, meaning a stock practice trader will practice using virtual money but everything else including price movements will reflect the true market movement.

Practice Demo versus Live Account
