How to Place MT5 Indicators on MT5 Charts

Step 1: Open Navigator Window on Platform

Open Navigator panel as shown and illustrated below: Go to 'View' menu (click on it), then choose the ' MT5 Navigator ' panel (click), or From Standard Tool Bar click the 'MT5 Navigator' button or press keyboard shortcut keys 'Ctrl+N'

On MT5 Navigator window, choose "Indicators", (Double Click)

Step 2: Expand the MT5 indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the MT5 indicator menu by clicking the expand button marker (+) or double-click the 'indicators' menu, after this the MT5 button will then appear as (-) & will now display a list as shown below.

From Above window you then can add any MT5 indicator you want in the MetaTrader 5 forex chart.

Placing Average Directional Movement on Chart

Step 1: Select the Average Directional Movement Index button on the MT5 list of indicators as illustrated below:

Step 2: Doubleclick ADX Button, and click okay to insert the indicator on chart as shown & illustrated below:

Edit ADX Technical Indicator Settings

To Adjust Settings, right click in ADX, select properties & then edit properties of indicator using pop-up menu that pops and click ok button after you've changed settings.

The following popup appears and ADX settings can be edited from this popup window.
